Jackie feelings toward Hawk

" I'm sorry to intrude on your Sunday morning",
Jackie said. "But I have to talk about Hawk."
I nodded.
" Puzzling, isn't he, "Susan said.
Jackie shook her head.
" You know him," she said to me. " You must know him better than anyone."
I smiled encouragingly.
" I think I'm falling in love with him," Jackie said.
Susan and I both smiled encouragingly.
" But I"-she searched for the right way to say it-"I can't...he won't ..."
"You can't get at him,"I said.
"Yes."
Jackie was silent contemplating that, as if having found the right phrase for it,
she could rethink it in some useful way.
" I mean, what's not to like? He's fun to be with.
He's funny. He know stuff. He's a dandy lover...But I can't seem to get at him."

Me..Reading..Books...Waat???

I personally do not enjoy reading at all. I mostly have no interest in reading books, unless im forced,too. I will only say that i do read, "if" only the topic is really "interesting". I would say reading in general can be really annoying and tiring. I say that because for me personally, if you have someone in the classroom who volunteers to read, right. And soon as they start reading, I start to doze off. Cuz that person is so boring and dry when they read. And if someone really wants to keep my attention for so long they gotta have some type of energy, enthusiasm or whatever. Plain and simple... if you boring me, i am definitely going to sleep regardless or not. So I'm jus syn dont b boring. N e ways, i wouldn't say i have a favorite book or whatever but i do like this one book called uh " The Great Gatsby". I read that book when i was n the 11th grade and at frst it was boring but later on in the book it was good, especially the movie...it had a love triangle, with some suspense, but overall it was good. Other than tht reading, its iight, but not all tht.

My Folk Traditions

In my family, i would say that we are your regular African-American family. Some of the traditions that take place in my family is that every month we celebrate birthdays together. Like for example we celebrate all of the Septembers Babies, who were born in September and so on. That includes us having big cookouts, grown folks having happy hour, kids dancing and playing games, watching either a football game or home videos, and much more. I really enjoy that because I really love seeing my family come together.
